What size mudflap do I need for a standard semi-truck?
Most semi-trucks with 11R22.5 or 11R24.5 tires require a 24″ wide mudflap to meet FMCSA requirements. Length (24″, 30″, or 36″) depends on your application and preference for coverage. What is the difference between Chevron, Heavy Duty, and XTREME grades?
- Chevron (3/16″ Nyracord): Standard grade, economical, pallets of 125 pairs
- Heavy Duty (1/4″ rubber): 33% thicker, longer service life, pallets of 75 pairs
- XTREME (premium compound, Made in Ohio USA): Top tier, maximum durability, pallets of 75 pairs
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — all pallet orders ship free via LTL freight to a commercial loading dock in the 48 contiguous states. See our Shipping Policy for details on residential delivery and liftgate options.
How many mudflaps come per pallet?
Chevron grade: 125 pairs per pallet. Heavy Duty and XTREME grades: 75 pairs per pallet. All prices listed on the product pages are per-pallet pricing.
Can I order less than a full pallet?
Our standard minimum order is one pallet. For smaller quantities or mixed pallet orders, please contact us at 800-886-4926 or ken@ratchetstrap.com to discuss options.
Are your mudflaps DOT compliant?
Yes. All mudflaps meet FMCSA 49 CFR Part 393.86 requirements for commercial motor vehicles. The 24″ width satisfies minimum width requirements for standard semi tires.
Do you sell to individual owner-operators?
Yes, but our pricing is structured for pallet-quantity fleet purchases. Owner-operators who want a single pair or a few pairs may find a local truck parts distributor more cost-effective. For a fleet of 5+ trucks, a pallet is typically the best value.
